We take you on board the Viejo Expreso Patagónico, also known as “la Trochita”, mythical train of the Patagonia Argentina. Founded by the Welsh, between the mountain range and the desert in Patagonia, Esquel is a quiet city, the entrance to the National Park Los Alerces, in the province of Chubut.
On of the major attractions in the city is the Viejo Expreso Patagónico, a steam train dating back to the end of the XIX century, kindly called “la Trochita” (the small railway) due to its 75 cm-wide rails.
